Leapfrog Therapies are are modern and progressive company providing a variety of education and therapy services for children and young people. We have an exciting new opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our team! All programs have behaviour analysis at the core, as well as a strong PBS framework, and incorporate education research, parenting research and attachment theory.
We are currently looking for Sensory Integration Therapy OT (minimum of SI module 2) to join our team. As we are only looking for a small number of hours, this self-employed role is ideal for an experienced OT looking to supplement their existing hours, and to gain experience with additional clients. The duties will vary depending on the needs of the case, but we are looking for someone who would be comfortable conducting assessments, preparing sensory diets, and providing remote support where possible for our existing teams. Willingness to travel is a positive. This will begin in September, delivering the OT support for one client in school, in line with their EHCP, including direct therapy (6 hours per term), staff training, programme design, supervision and MDT attendance.
Pay range is £50-£60.00/hour dependent on experience.
Main duties include:
- Delivering 1-1 OT sessions with a small number of clients either in school or at home
- Work 1-1 with children/adolescents aged 3-18
- Run therapy alongside Leapfrog Therapists and providing appropriate training to staff to deliver recommendations correctly
- Assess, take data and keep meticulous records
- Work closely with parents and school/nursery staff where relevant
- Be available to attend team workshops once per term for each child
- Be part of the Senior Team at Leapfrog Therapies and help inform best practice and services offered
Essential:
1. You must have previous experience working with children with autism and special education needs
2. You must have experience assessing, delivering therapy and consultation/training for your recommendations, and be able to provide your own assessments
3. You must have experience with sensory needs/difficulties
4. You must be reliable and committed
5. You must have excellent communication skills
6. You must have right to work and be able to be Self-Employed in the UK
7. You must have a clean Enhanced DBS or be willing to undertake one
8. You must have use of a car, for ease of getting to clients.
Desirable
You may have availability to work with additional children in future, as the company expands!
