Hours: Zero hours, dependent on the needs of the business
Job Type: Zero hours (From 4 hours per week)
Salary: £12.76 per hour, plus a 12.07% holiday uplift, paid monthly
Background
This is a flexible opportunity to join the team at the INOV8 Brand Store Sheffield, 6 Dyson Place, Sheffield, Yorkshire, S11 8XX. As a Zero Hours Sales Assistant, you’ll support the store during busy trading periods, holidays, events, race activations, shoe demos and other times when additional cover is required.
The role is about helping to optimise the results of a busy store by delivering brilliant customer service and support. We’re looking for someone who is confident, commercial and passionate — someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, interacting with customers and sharing expert product advice.
What you’ll do
This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, flexibility and working in a customer-facing retail environment. You’ll be part of the wider store team, helping to deliver excellent service and represent the INOV8 brand during key trading moments and community activations.
You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of:
- Delivering fantastic service to customers in store and online
- Providing flexible support during busy periods, holidays, events and activations
- Sharing honest and knowledgeable advice across INOV8’s product ranges
- Maintaining strong standards of store presentation, tidiness and cleanliness
- Supporting merchandising, product launches, sales and events
- Helping with community events, races, shoe demos and other brand activations
Who we’re looking for
This is a hands-on, flexible role requiring someone who is approachable, customer-focused and confident in a retail environment. You’ll enjoy working with people, supporting a busy store and helping customers choose the right products across run, hike and gym.
Previous experience in a premium, sports, outdoor or retail setting would be beneficial, alongside strong communication skills, flexibility and a genuine passion for the INOV8 brand.

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Deliver brilliant customer service to both in-store and online customers
- Provide expert product advice across INOV8’s run, hike and gym ranges
- Deal with customer queries, returns and complaints, both in store and online
- Maintain excellent standards of tidiness, cleanliness and store presentation
- Help with merchandising, including preparing the store for sales, events or product launches
- Support community events, races, shoe demos and other brand activations
- Provide flexible cover to support the store when required
- Work collaboratively with the Store Manager and wider store team
- Look for creative ways to go above and beyond for customers
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have the following relevant experience:
- Previous experience in a premium, sports, outdoor or retail setting
- Good people skills and confidence in a customer-facing environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Strong communication skills
- A genuine passion for running, hiking, fitness — or all three
- Flexibility to support the store as needed
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car would be desirable

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent preferred
Experience:
- Retail sales: 1 year preferred
- Customer service: 1 year preferred
Ability to Commute:
