Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter/Waitress/ bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role requires a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. The position offers an opportunity to develop culinary and guest service skills within a dynamic setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Provide attentive guest service, addressing any questions or concerns professionally
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables, utensils, and condiments
- Process payments accurately using the POS system and handle cash transactions responsibly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation or culinary practices is a plus
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions effectively
- Experience in kitchen environments or with culinary tasks can be beneficial
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales potential
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
