Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Catering Equipment Cleaner / Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning commercial kitchen equipment to high standard to ensure optimal hygiene and safety standards and general warehouse duties including loading and unloading Vehicles, and occasional off side deliveries nationwide.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the foodservice industry by ensuring equipment is spotless and ready for use.
Full training provided – including COSHH and PPE training.
Duties
- Clean and sanitize a variety of commercial catering equipment, including ovens, fryers, refrigerators, and dishwashers
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and tools to ensure equipment meets health and safety regulations
- Inspect equipment for any damage or maintenance needs and report issues promptly
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and safety
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Adhere to all health, safety including COSHH PPE requirements and environmental regulations during cleaning processes
- Manual handling and handballing of equipment safely and efficiently.
- Using a jet wash and other specialist cleaning tools.
- Operating a sandblasting machine (full training provided).
- Working effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Loading and unloading Vehicles
- Ocassional off site deliveries nationwide
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or kitchen equipment maintenance is preferred but not required
- Warehouse experience is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is a plus however full training will be given
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to safety guidelines
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed
This role is essential in supporting the operational efficiency of our clients commercial kitchens by ensuring all equipment is hygienic, safe, and ready for daily use.
* Please note this position will require moving large and heavy equipment, full training will be given
