We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining shop organisation, and assisting with various tasks to ensure a smooth operation. This position requires strong communication skills. This is a temporary position starting asap and ending early september, with the option for further part time work when available.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and checking stock levels.
- Process transactions accurately at the till and handle cash responsibly.
- Provide information about products and services, helping customers make informed choices.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer complaints or issues professionally, escalating them as necessary.
- Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and customer service skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills; proficiency in English is required.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A friendly and approachable demeanour with a passion for helping customers.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends if necessary.
