Salary: £23,580 - £27,981 FTE
Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week, term time) or part-time (minimum 3 days)

talentED Recruiters are working in partnership with a highly respected specialist SEN school in Cranleigh to recruit caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their permanent team.
This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 5–19 with complex learning disabilities, severe social communication needs and associated challenging behaviours, helping them develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils in small classes of approximately 8–13 students.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
- Assist with literacy, numeracy, PSHE and life skills development.
- Use a range of communication methods including Makaton, symbols and sensory-based approaches.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Provide personal care where required (full training provided).
- Help create a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate, patient and resilient.
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEN.
- Calm and confident when supporting challenging behaviours.
- A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Comfortable providing personal care when required.
- Educated to a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
Previous experience within education, care, support work, healthcare, youth work or similar environments is beneficial but not essential.
