Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our small, busy service and repairs garage. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the success of our service, maintenance and repair operations. Experience in the automotive or motor trade sector is desirable. You will need to understand vehicle repairs , prepare estimates, explain technical findings and confidently present repair recommendations to customers.
Duties
- Greet booked customers, clarify work to be carried out etc.
- Answer telephone, book in jobs, technical queries, enquiries, estimates etc
- Deal with emergency customers
- Prepare job cards and delegate work accordingly
- Order and organise parts
- Cost up all work, labour & parts
- Regularly update customers on progress, ie extra arts and cost
- Prepare invoices, take payments
- Monitor end of month statements
- Help in workshop when required
Requirements
- Motor vehicle knowledge and work experience
- Full driving licence
- Great communication skills at all levels, face to face, telephone, text and e-mail
- Build good relationships with customers
- Familiar with office management software
- Able to work under pressure and multi-task
- Flexibility to adapt to changing organisational needs
- Able to work well with a small team
- Build excellent relationships with customers
Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
