Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Guest House House Keeper/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and organisation of our guest accommodation. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and a keen eye for cleanliness. The successful candidate will contribute to providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation are consistently met.
Duties
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to the highest standards
- Change bed linen, make beds, and replenish amenities such as towels and toiletries
- Ensure all surfaces are dust-free, floors are vacuumed or mopped, and waste is disposed of appropriately
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to management
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and used efficiently
- Assist with laundry duties as required, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linen and towels
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and guests
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality cleaning roles is preferred but not essential
- Proven janitorial experience demonstrating attention to detail and thoroughness
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently within allocated timeframes
- A friendly attitude with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends if required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and hotel operations
