We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive to join our friendly BD team.
We’re looking for a hungry, high‑energy internal Business Development Executive who thrives on the phone and loves opening doors. This role is all about proactively identifing and reaching out to new prospects, particularly decision makers, via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels.
ABOUT KINLEY:
Kinley is an evolving and fast-growing family company. We design and manufacture high-quality landscaping products for the public realm, landscape edging, street furniture, planters and surfacing. Kinley works with landscape architects and specifiers to put well-detailed, well-documented products into schemes across the UK.
You’ll be a key part of a collaborative team, working closely with the Team Leader and supporting external representatives by filling diaries, managing CRM activity, and ensuring opportunities are followed through.
This is a phone‑led role, suited to someone confident, resilient, and motivated by clear KPIs and results.

Core responsibilities:
Prospect Engagement & Relationship Building
- Proactively identify and reach out to new prospects, particularly decision makers, via email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with gatekeepers, specifiers, and decision-makers.
CPD & Training Coordination
- Book CPD presentations and training sessions, ensuring all logistical details are confirmed and handed over to the relevant presenter.
- Manage CPD scheduling and coordination for the wider team.
- Support in organising sample mock-ups and design/product review sessions, both in-person and virtual.
Client Events & Follow-ups
- Support event booking and manage attendance confirmations, ensuring key clients are invited and engaged.
- Follow up on marketing-generated leads and event attendees, converting interest into booked meetings.
- Ensure follow-up appointments are arranged to maintain client momentum.
Diary & Daily Coordination
- Manage a business development representative, appointments, and commitments.
- Provide end-of-day updates and reports based on the business development representative notes, ensuring a clear record of client interactions and outcomes.
- Work closely with the business development representative and decision makers to increase the pipeline.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain and update the CRM with accurate contact details, appointment statuses, notes, and outcomes.
- Track and report performance against KPIs, including booked meetings, new contacts.
Collaboration & Focused Outreach
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to prioritise target accounts, campaign follow-ups, and strategic opportunities.
KPIs & Measures of Success
- Proactive outbound targets including MSI’s and meetings booked
- Sales target per area
