Job Title: Bar Person (Monday to Thursday )
Location: The Open Arms Hotel, Dirleton
Hours: Monday to Thursday, with occasional flexibility required during events and busy periods.
Role Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Bar Person to oversee the day-to-day running of the hotel bar during the week. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, maintaining presentation standards, ensuring stock levels are managed correctly, and supporting the wider food and beverage operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve beveages to hotel guests and visitors.
* Deliver exceptional customer service and build rapport with regular guests.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the bar and lounge areas.
* Monitor and replenish stock levels.
* Assist with stock takes and stock control procedures.
* Ensure glassware, equipment and service areas are maintained to a high standard.
* Support restaurant service when required.
* Prepare the bar for lunch, afternoon and evening service.
* Maintain coffee machine and beverage stations.
* Ensure guest areas remain tidy, welcoming and ready to showcase at all times.
* Follow all licensing, health and safety, and food hygiene procedures.
* Support events, meetings and private functions where required.
Skills & Experience
* Previous bar experience preferred.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Cash handling and till experience desirable.
* Professional appearance and attitude.
