We are currently recruiting Senior Support Workers to join a number of Children's Residential Homes across Northampton.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive provider delivering high-quality care to children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). We have multiple vacancies available, making this a great opportunity for experienced Senior Support Workers looking for career progression within Children's Residential Care.
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager and Team Leader while providing high-quality care and guidance to children and young people.
You will lead by example, support less experienced staff, promote positive outcomes and help create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children and young people with their daily routines and individual care plans.
- Act as a positive role model and provide guidance to the staff team.
- Promote safeguarding and follow Children's Home Regulations.
- Support behaviour management using a therapeutic approach.
- Complete accurate records and reports.
- Build positive relationships with young people, families and professionals.
- Assist with shift leadership when required.
Requirements
✔ Previous experience working within a Children's Residential Home.
✔ Experience supporting young people with EBD.
✔ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards).
✔ Strong safeguarding knowledge.
✔ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✔ Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Pay: £28,185.36-£32,342.35 per year
