We are seeking a skilled coded welding professional to join our team of structural welders. The successful candidate must be able to independently set up a welding plant from scratch in accordance with a Welding Procedure Specification (WPS). This is a twilight shift position, with working hours from 17:00 to 02:00 (variable).

Minimum Requirements:
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and standards.
- Safe operation and use of various power tools.
- Ability to work according to instructions from the Works Manager.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineers’ drawings.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions from a Weld Procedure Specification (WPS).
- Competence in setting up a welding plant in accordance with the WPS.
- Ensure proper cleanliness and fit-up of steels before welding.
- Experience in MAG welding of steel grades S355J2 and below.
- Ability to weld single and multi-run fillet welds in flat/horizontal positions.
- Ability to complete butt welds in flat/horizontal positions.
- Conduct 100% visual inspection of all welds.
- Identify and repair sub-standard welds as necessary.
- Familiarity with working to UKCA certification standards.
Ideal Candidates:
- Demonstrated experience or certification in welding in overhead and vertical-up positions is highly preferred.
