Crovan Court Nursing & Residential Home are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join the team, to be responsible for undertaking food preparation tasks, as directed by the Chef/Head Chef, preparing ingredients and simple dishes. Kitchen Assistants will also be responsible for servicing food to residents.
General Responsibilities;-
- Preparing ingredients for dishes.
- Washing and slicing fruit and vegetables.
- Cooking ingredients according to directions received from the Chef.
- Keeping all pots, pans and kitchen utensils clean and in order.
- Managing storerooms and cold rooms.
- Preparation of residents' food trays and trollies.
- Clean kitchen area floors and corridors.
- Maintain high standards of Food & Hygiene and Health & Safety.
- Bringing ingredients into the kitchen and ensuring food is packed and stored in accordance with all applicable food hygiene and safety regulations.
- Cleaning and tidying workstations and equipment.
- Comply with the Health and Safety policy and procedures.
- Comply with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH).
- To undertake other duties as required and as directed by the Chef/Head Chef.
