About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced stockperson work on an multiplication, closed herd breeding unit, alongside an experienced team. The farm covers all areas of the production process from Farrowing, Weaning, Serving, Gilt Selection and Finishing, selling breeding stock to some of the UK’s most successful farms.
We’ll be straight about the job, because we’re looking for someone who will genuinely love it. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role right at the heart of our breeding programme. you will be covering all aspects of the farm, keeping the unit clean, comfortable and running to the highest standards. Our animals need looking after seven days a week, so you’ll work one weekend in two. In return, you’ll do genuinely skilled work with first-class animals, in a business that takes real pride in doing things properly.
What we’re looking for
· Hands-on experience in indoor pig production (breeding or gilt units an advantage)
· Physically fit and genuinely comfortable with demanding, hands-on work — including mucking out on straw
· Hardworking, reliable and detail-focused, with a real passion for pig welfare and production
· Happy to work one weekend in two, and flexible when the animals need you
· A positive, can-do attitude with strong team-working and communication skills
· Keen to learn and progress within a specialist genetics environment
· Tractor driving experience is ideal

All animals are looked after to Red Tractor Assured Standards so candidates must have a focus on welfare and enjoy an active job, with no contact with other Pigs or pig farms.
