We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Cleaning Operative to join our professional cleaning team. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and disinfecting of patient rooms, operating theatres, corridors, and communal areas within healthcare premises.
- Use specialised cleaning equipment and chemicals in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure all surfaces are sanitised effectively to minimise the risk of infection transmission.
- Follow strict protocols for waste disposal and biohazard management.
- Restock supplies such as hand sanitiser, tissues, and cleaning materials as required.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures at all times to uphold hygiene standards.
- Work efficiently within allocated timeframes while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
- Experience working in hospital or healthcare environments is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with hospital-grade disinfectants and cleaning procedures is desirable.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices within healthcare settings is beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
