About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant & Food Delivery Driver to join our team.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining kitchen preparation, food packing and labelling, delivery driving, customer service and stock management. You will play an important part in making sure our products are prepared correctly, delivered on time and ready for the next day's deliveries.
Main Duties
- Assist with the preparation of food and products ready for packaging.
- Pack and accurately label products for delivery.
- Check orders and ensure the correct products are prepared for each delivery route.
- Load the delivery van safely and efficiently.
- Drive to multiple locations throughout the day to deliver and sell our products.
- Build positive relationships with customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take payments and accurately record sales where required.
- Unload and display products at delivery locations.
- Return to the workplace and reload, clean and restock the van ready for the following day.
- Help maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen, storage and vehicle environment.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety and company procedures.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Friendly and confident when dealing with customers.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Organised and able to manage multiple deliveries and tasks.
- Happy working in a busy kitchen and delivery environment.
- Physically fit enough to load, unload and move food products.
- A confident driver over the age of 30 due to insurance purposes.
- Able to work flexibly and adapt to changing daily requirements.
- Previous kitchen, delivery, food production or customer-facing experience is desirable, but full training can be provided for the right person.
