CNC Programmer Setter Operator
Overview
Trisearch Solutions is recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer Setter Operator to join an established engineering manufacturer in Wolverhampton on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional who is confident programming, setting and operating CNC lathes independently and takes pride in producing accurate, high quality components.
The successful candidate will be working with 2 and 3 axis Fanuc controlled CNC lathes and will be responsible for the full machining process, from programming and machine setup through to production and quality checking.
Duties
- Programming 2 and 3 axis CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
- Setting machines, tooling and workpieces ready for production
- Operating CNC lathes safely and efficiently
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Carrying out dimensional and quality checks throughout production
- Making machine and tooling adjustments where required
- Ensuring components are produced accurately and consistently
- Identifying and resolving machining issues during production
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
Experience
- Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
- Strong experience using Fanuc controls
- Experience working with 2 and 3 axis CNC machinery
- Ability to set and run machines independently
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and component specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- A reliable and professional approach to work
- Experience with Doosan machinery and Fanuc i-Series controls is also welcomed, as we're currently recruiting across multiple CNC setter/programmer positions
Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8.00am to 4.30pm
Friday: 8.00am to 3.30pm
30 minute unpaid lunch each day
Two paid 10 minute breaks each day
39 hours per week
Pay and Benefits
£16.00 to £17.00 per hour, depending on experience
Permanent position
26 days annual leave
Holiday entitlement increases after 3, 5 and 10 years of service
