Overview
We are seeking a dedicated night shift Warehouse Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, ensuring the safe handling and movement of goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to a fast-paced environment that values safety, organisation, and teamwork.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively to load, unload, and organise stock.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, process orders, and update stock records accurately.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of goods in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including checking deliveries against purchase orders and preparing items for dispatch.
- Load and unload lorries using appropriate equipment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment by following standard operating procedures.
- Support stock replenishment activities and assist with inventory counts as required.
Experience
- Prior experience working within a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Proven ability to operate forklift trucks safely is highly desirable; relevant certification will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Experience in materials handling, stock management, picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily operations.
- Previous exposure to warehouse organisation involving stock replenishment and inventory control.
Pay: £14.00-£14.42 per hour
