Duties
- Reactive call outs
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in various settings
- Conduct inspections to identify issues with existing plumbing infrastructure
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks accurately
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to ensure correct installation procedures
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are met
- Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and related systems as required
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools and materials when necessary
Skills
- Proficiency in plumbing techniques and systems installation
- Experience with welding, carpentry, and assembly work is advantageous
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised mechanical equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving tasks is preferred
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments
