This is a new Band 6 Electrical Support Officer post within the Capital Estates team, supporting the delivery of electrical engineering functions across University Hospitals Dorset.
The post holder will provide technical support for maintenance, small works, electrical audits, low voltage authorised person duties, contractor control, and the review of specifications and drawings for minor capital projects. The role will also support electrical safety, statutory compliance and the safe operation of the Trust’s electrical infrastructure.
Working across Trust sites, the post holder will liaise with Capital Estates, Strategy and Transformation, Operational Maintenance, contractors and clinical users to support the safe planning and delivery of works. They will provide technical advice, review documentation such as drawings, specifications, risk assessments and method statements, and undertake checks and surveys linked to electrical systems and capital minor works.
The post does not include direct line management responsibility, but will provide technical support to project managers and wider teams as required.
