Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented part-time cleaner to join our team, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in a day nursery located in Billericay. This role requires independent working, as lone working may be necessary.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Ensure nursery spaces, including playrooms, restrooms, and kitchens, are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Work independently to manage and complete daily cleaning tasks efficiently.
- Follow established health and safety cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Manage time efficiently to complete tasks within designated time frames.
- Restock supplies as needed (e.g., soap, hand towels).
Requirements
- Immediate start for the right candidate.
- Previous experience in cleaning, particularly in settings like nurseries, schools, or healthcare facilities, is essential.
- Comfortable with lone working and able to manage time effectively.
- Access to a vehicle is preferred due to the remote nature of the location.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and an understanding of hygiene standards for childcare environments is essential.
- Availability to work 20 hours per week Monday – Friday from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
- Right to work in the UK.
