Self-Employed Fencing Assistant – Henstridge Area
We are a small but growing fencing business based in the Henstridge area, specialising in domestic fencing installations, repairs, and replacements. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking self-employed individual to join our team for around 3 days per week, with the potential for additional work as the business continues to grow.
The role will mainly involve fencing work, including:
- Fence installations and replacements
- Fence repairs and maintenance
- Installing fence posts, panels, gates, and related work
- Removing old fencing and preparing areas for new installations
- Digging, concrete work, and general site preparation
- Shed bases, shed builds, and repairs
- Occasional small landscaping projects as required
This is a physically demanding role involving hard manual outdoor work in all weather conditions. Applicants must be comfortable with heavy lifting, digging, using hand and power tools, working with timber, and being on their feet for long periods. A good level of fitness and a willingness to work hard are essential.
Typical working hours will be approximately 8:00am – 5:30pm, although some days may run longer depending on the workload and job requirements.
Previous experience in fencing, construction, landscaping, or similar work would be an advantage but is not essential. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, who is reliable, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn and develop their skills.

This position is offered on a self-employed basis only.
A review will be carried out after the first 2 months, and a pay increase may be offered depending on performance, reliability, and the standard of work.
