Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Support Worker to provide essential care and support to adults with disabilities. This role involves working closely with individuals and their families to deliver tailored care, fostering a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care in accordance with individual support plans, ensuring the individual’s safety, dignity, and comfort at all times
- Support adults with daily living activities, including social engagement, learning opportunities, and personal care routines
- Assist with transportation needs by driving individuals to appointments, activities, or community outings as required
- Maintain clear and open communication with families, colleagues, and other professionals involved in the individual’s care
- Record observations and progress notes accurately to support continuous improvement of care plans
- Promote independence, confidence, and inclusion in all aspects of daily living
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring environments remain safe, clean, and hygienic at all times
Experience
- Previous experience working with adults with disabilities or complex needs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of care practices and person-centred support principles
- Experience working with or following individualised care/support plans
- A valid driving licence is essential
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with individuals, families, and team members
