We are currently recruiting for a number of full-time SEND Teaching Assistants to join a highly supportive and well-resourced specialist education setting in Acton Town.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and who are looking to develop a long-term career within Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across the school day
- Assisting with learning activities both in and out of the classroom
- Promoting students' communication, social and emotional development
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals
- Supporting pupils with their individual care and learning needs
- Providing personal care when required (all applicants must be comfortable with this aspect of the role)
Working Hours:
- Monday: 08:50 – 16:00
- Tuesday: 08:50 – 16:45
- Wednesday: 08:50 – 16:15
- Thursday: 08:50 – 16:00
- Friday: 08:50 – 16:10
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
- A positive, patient and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience supporting individuals with ASD is beneficial but not essential
- Applicants must be comfortable providing personal care
