Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable HGV Driver to join our night trunking team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the movement of freight to and from our depot in Maidstone to the network hubs This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively. As a HGV driver you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their products on time.
Night Trunk Drivers | Pallex hub Coalville | Full Time| £40,000 - £45,000 plus £6,000 bonus depending on experience.
Duties
- Operate and drive Straight frame or Double decker trailers to one of our 3 hubs
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Securing the trailer & freight sufficiently
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information.
- Communicate effectively with any night operational issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Skills
- New pass are also wellcome.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS technology effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- ADR preferred but not essential
The working hours will be Monday-Friday night. Start time usually 20:30 - 22:30
