We are looking for a motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the Nursery Management Team in the effective leadership and daily operation of the nursery. The successful candidate will help ensure the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding and compliance are maintained, while supporting and developing the staff team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day management of the nursery and take responsibility in their absence
- Lead by example to provide high-quality care and learning opportunities for children aged 0–5 years
- Support, motivate and mentor staff to achieve the best outcomes for children
- Ensure the nursery provides a safe, welcoming and stimulating environment for children and families
- Build positive partnerships with parents, carers and external professionals
- Promote and maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance
- Assist with staff supervision, training and professional development
- Contribute to the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the nursery
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Holds a relevant Early Years qualification at Level 3 or above
- Has experience in a senior early years role and is ready to progress or further develop their leadership skills
- Has a strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding requirements and childcare legislation
- Is passionate about providing outstanding care and education for young children
- Demonstrates excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to supporting both children and colleagues

Additional Information
- The nursery operates 51 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 6:00pm.
