Job Summary
Bouncy Castle and Gazebo hire company looking for a backup delivery driver.
The main days we operate are Friday to Sunday, occasionally on other weekdays as well. As we expand our business, workload may increase over time.
Duties
- Safely operate LWB vans (Mercedes Sprinter), adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimise time and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, conducting routine inspections before and after journeys, and report any issues
- Assist in warehouse activities when not on deliveries, including stock organisation and inventory management, equipment drying
- Clean and count equipment on delivery, collection, and before it goes into storage
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring deliveries are completed professionally and courteously
Requirements
- At least 26 years of age; must hold a valid divers license for a minimum of 2 years and 0 points (requirements for insurance)
- Preferably experience driving LWB vans
- Previous manual handling experience is advantageous, especially involving heavy lifting tasks (bouncy castles can weigh 120kg, more when wet)
- Strong communication skills for effective communication with clients and team members
- Ability to change a light bulb, change a fuse in a plug, rewire a broken plug, basic understanding of vehicle maintenance, where oil goes or where washer fluid goes
- Ability to work late nights and weekends
This role requires a dedicated individual with excellent organisational skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
This is seasonal work; part-time and shift workers are welcome
People with a tendency to call in sick or show up with a hangover or under the influence of other substances are NOT needed.
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
