ROLE: Junior Estimator
LOCATION: Chesterfield

We're looking for a Junior Estimator who will support our Custom Solar team in delivering high‑quality, accurate estimating services across our Power and Grid business unit.
- Support the Estimating team with administrative and project‑related tasks.
- Assist in preparing estimates for tender submissions using drawings, specifications, and site information.
- Help prepare Bills of Quantities and measured take‑offs.
- Liaise with project managers, procurement, commercial, and design teams.
- Research and analyse costs for materials, plant, and subcontractors.
- Obtain quotations from subcontractors for packages of work.
- Contribute to weekly commercial meetings.
- Conduct site visits with the wider commercial team where required.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with internal processes and governance.
Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
- Minimum 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying.
- Strong communication, numerical, and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a supportive environment.
- Full UK driving licence.

- Previous experience in a supporting role within an Estimating team.
