Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of overgate shopping centre premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in hospitality or janitorial services. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction. The Housekeeping Supervisor will play a vital part in creating a welcoming environment for our customers while managing daily operations efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff to maintain high performance levels.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor staff productivity to meet operational requirements.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained and equipment is properly maintained.
- Address guest complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Enforce health and safety policies in line with hotel standards and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery across the hotel.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices for cleanliness and safety.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: £14.35 per hour
