Job Summary
We are seeking a experienced Accounts Administrator for Membership, full trianing given, to join our finance team. Present person retireing after many years.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years’ accounts experience, demonstrating proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to the organisation’s financial accuracy and efficiency. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing accounts payable, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall financial operations within the organisation.
3/4 Days weekly Mon to Fri. 9am to 3pm daily. £13. ph Part Time. Negotiable. ?
Duties
- Manage and process accounts payable transactions accurately and promptly using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial data is correctly entered and up-to-date within Membership Plus and other relevant systems.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring compliance with organisational policies.
- Support the finance team in maintaining organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any account-related queries efficiently.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely settlement.
- Ensure adherence to relevant financial regulations and internal controls at all times.
- Contact with members for quiry clarification plus.
Skills
- Minimum of five years’ experience working with commercial accounts.
- Proven expertise in accounting software. Training given.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and general ledger.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Good communication skills, capable of liaising professionally with colleagues and external cliants.
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a collaborative approach within the finance team.
- Familiarity with Membership Plus or similar membership management systems is advantageous but not essential. Full training given.
