A1 Fun Club Newmarket are Recruiting for a passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the team.
To assist the Manager & provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the setting and to maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment.
The successful candidate:
- A minimum Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification (e.g. Pre-school Learning Alliance Diploma in Pre-school Practice, NVQ 3, or equivalent)
- A full clean driving licence.
- one year’s experience in running or helping to run a similar service or other suitable experience would be preferable.
- A sound understanding of child development and children’s needs with an ability and experience of contributing to planning and implementing an early year’s age/stage appropriate curriculum, taking into account the SEN Code of Practice, child protection procedures and equal opportunities’ considerations.
- Ability to build good partnership working relationships with staff within the setting and in the wider organisation and other professionals.
- Ability to communicate the need for quality and continuous improvement and influence good practice through own example.
- Ability to communicate in a variety of ways, verbally and in writing, and with people at all levels, and adopts a communication method appropriate for the listener or audience.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Demonstrates professionalism in approach to managing all issues.
- Good customer awareness.
- Knowledge of current legislation relevant to Early Years Practice.
- The hours are 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Between the operational hours of 12pm - 6pm.
- Overtime is regularly available.
Salary £8.60 - £13.00 an hour depending on qualifications and experience .
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and does require a criminal records check. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.
