We’re looking for an experienced bricklayer/masonry-based tradesperson with good all-round building knowledge.
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience preferred, ideally 10+ years.

- Patios/paving
- Concrete works
- Reading plans and construction drawings
Duties
- Bricklaying and blockwork to a high standard
- Building extensions, garden walls, retaining walls and structural masonry
- Setting out from drawings and plans
- Installing DPCs, insulation, lintels and cavity trays
- Constructing cavity walls and solid masonry
- Groundworks and preparation for masonry works
- Pouring and constructing concrete foundations and footings
- Drainage works where required
- Installing concrete and steel lintels
- Structural alterations, including forming openings
- Repointing, repairs and remedial masonry work
- Stonework and natural stone repairs where required
- Slabbing, paving and external landscaping/masonry works
- Working independently and managing your own workload
- Reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications
- Calculating and organising materials required for the job
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and site cleanliness
- Working safely and following site health & safety requirements
- Working alongside carpenters, roofers, plasterers and other trades
- Helping with other general building works when required
Due to growing rapidly as a business, we are looking for someone who can confidently be given drawings/instructions, set their own work out and get on with the job without supervision.
Someone capable of eventually taking responsibility for a small job/team, organising labour and reporting progress back to us would be particularly attractive.
Stonework or experience in other areas of construction would be an advantage
Full UK driving licence required.
Initially a 3-month trial period, with permanent employment available for the right person.
Company van/access to a work van may be available for the right candidate.
Working hours:
Monday–Friday
8:00am–4:30pm
Pay: £160.00-£200.00 per day
