Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee and manage the organisation’s financial operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Utilise accounting software such as Xero, and other relevant programmes to maintain precise financial records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborate with external Accountants and liaise with regulatory authorities as necessary.
- Monitor cash flow and optimise financial performance through effective management of resources.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and prevent fraud or errors.
- Lead the finance team in maintaining accurate general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Analyse financial data to support strategic decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial management within a similar organisation or industry sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, and other relevant programmes.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and overall financial operations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare detailed financial reports and analyse complex data sets.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in all work performed.
