Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including <PERSON> driver models, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and timely arrivals
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling in warehouse environments
- Deliver packages directly to customers’ doorsteps, verifying recipient details and obtaining signatures when necessary
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding delivery times or any issues that may arise during the route
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports throughout each shift
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving multi-drop routes
- Strong driving skills with a valid commercial driving license (CDL) or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and handling heavy items safely
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading/unloading deliveries
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation tools to optimize routes
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
