We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Care Assistant to join our care team. Responsibilities
- Monitor residents or clients throughout the night, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies or urgent needs during your shift
- Assist with personal care tasks such as repositioning, toileting, or medication prompts as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, incidents, and observations in line with care plans
- Conduct regular checks of the environment to ensure safety standards are upheld
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents, colleagues, and emergency services when necessary
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each person's needs
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents and team members
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably and responsibly in a calm manner
- Basic IT skills for recording notes and updating care records digitally if needed
- Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving community-based support or transportation duties
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures to deliver personalized care safely and effectively
- Compassionate attitude with excellent observation skills to identify changes in residents’ conditions
