Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and personable Trade Counter Assistant / Digital Marketing Apprentice to join our dynamic team at an independent local omnichannel retailer of trade tools, hardware, and accessories.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers at the trade counter, and working with a digital marketing manager on E-commerce and digital channels including Amazon, Shopify, and supporting other marketing initiatives, whilst developing essential skills for a future career in marketing.
The Role
This is a great opportunity to start a career in digital marketing while gaining a Level 3 Digital Marketing qualification. You'll work alongside the team to support our marketing activity, including:
- Providing excellent customer service at the trade counter, including greeting customers, answering queries, and assisting with product selections.
- Managing sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and processing payments efficiently.
- Supporting merchandising activities by organising displays, stock replenishment, and ensuring the shop floor remains tidy and inviting.
- Assisting with digital marketing tasks such as updating social media platforms, creating engaging content, and supporting online campaigns.
- Social Media: Creating and scheduling content across our social channels
- Website & Shopify: Updating product listings, images, and content on our online store
- Content Creation: Writing posts, promotions, and basic graphics to support sales
- Campaigns: Assisting with email marketing and seasonal promotions
- Reporting: Tracking engagement and helping monitor what's working
What We're Looking For
- Enthusiasm for marketing and social media — no formal experience required
- Good written communication skills
- Willingness to learn and study toward your Level 3 Digital Marketing qualification
- Comfortable using a computer and picking up new tools
Pay: From £16,640.00 per year
