Cura Vita Complex Care Group is recruiting Support Workers to join an established supported-living service in Enfield, supporting young adults to live fulfilling, increasingly independent lives.
We currently have opportunities across both day and waking-night shifts. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants who can support our current day-shift requirements, including candidates with weekday and/or weekend availability.
A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive confidently are essential requirements for this role.
ABOUT THE PEOPLE YOU'LL SUPPORT
The people living within the service have different personalities, interests, communication styles and support needs.
What they have in common is the need for Support Workers who take the time to get to know them properly, communicate respectfully and provide consistent, person-centred support.
This is an active and relationship-led support environment.
Interests across the service include football, music, films, gaming, cooking, shopping, spending time with family and friends, going out into the community and taking part in activities such as rock climbing, go-karting and trips out.
Good support here isn't about simply being present for a shift.
It's about helping someone make their own choices, develop independence, maintain important relationships, access their community and enjoy the activities that matter to them.

We're looking for Support Workers who can:

THE ROLE
As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support in accordance with individual care plans, risk assessments and agreed ways of working.
Depending on the individual you are supporting and the shift worked, your responsibilities may include:
- Building positive and consistent professional relationships.
- Supporting daily routines and promoting independence.
- Supporting meaningful activities and community access.
- Encouraging choice and involvement in day-to-day decisions.
- Supporting people to maintain relationships that are important to them.
- Providing reassurance and calm support during periods of anxiety or uncertainty.
- Supporting health and wellbeing in accordance with individual care plans.
- Following agreed medication procedures where appropriately trained and authorised.
- Following care plans, risk assessments and agreed support strategies.
- Maintaining accurate and timely care records.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and the wider support team.
- Reporting concerns or changes appropriately.
- Completing all mandatory and service-specific training and competency requirements.
ABOUT YOU
Previous experience within autism, learning disabilities, mental health, supported living or complex care would be particularly valuable.
However, we're also interested in strong care candidates who demonstrate the right approach, values and ability to learn.
You should be:

DRIVING REQUIREMENT
A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive confidently are essential requirements for this position.
Please do not apply if you do not meet the driving requirement, as we are unable to progress non-drivers for this service.
HOURS AND AVAILABILITY
We are currently recruiting across both day and waking-night shifts operating as part of a seven-day service.
We have a particular requirement for day-shift availability and therefore strongly welcome applicants who can work days.
Weekday and weekend availability will both be considered.
Your actual availability will be discussed during screening so that we can assess this against the current staffing requirements of the service.
PAY
£14.00 per hour for day shifts.
£16.00 per hour for waking-night shifts.
