Pay: £14.00–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience + tips
Trattoria No4 is looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our growing kitchen team in Braunton.
We’re a busy, independent Italian restaurant focused on great ingredients, proper cooking and delivering consistently high standards. We’re looking for a chef who genuinely enjoys the kitchen environment, takes pride in their section and wants to be part of a team that’s continuing to develop and push forward.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you’ll take responsibility for your section and work closely with our senior kitchen team to deliver consistently excellent food throughout service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Running and maintaining your section during busy services
- Preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
- Completing mise en place and ensuring your section is fully prepared for service
- Maintaining excellent presentation, portion control and consistency
- Working closely with the rest of the brigade to ensure smooth services
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Monitoring stock levels, rotation and minimising unnecessary waste
- Assisting with deliveries and correct storage of ingredients
- Supporting junior members of the kitchen team where required
- Contributing ideas and feedback as our menus and restaurant continue to develop
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or an experienced Commis Chef ready to progress
- Is confident working independently on a section
- Remains organised and composed during busy services
- Has a genuine passion for cooking and quality ingredients
- Understands the importance of consistency and attention to detail
- Is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in their work
- Enjoys being part of a close-knit kitchen team
Experience with Italian cuisine is an advantage, but it’s not essential. A strong chef with the right attitude and willingness to learn is just as important to us.
