Duties
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety regulations
- Inspect scaffolding components regularly to ensure stability and safety for all workers
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople to facilitate smooth workflow
- Use hand tools and power tools to secure scaffolding elements efficiently and accurately
- Follow detailed plans and blueprints to assemble complex scaffolding systems for various construction tasks
- Maintain a clean work area by organizing materials and disposing of debris safely
- Conduct routine safety checks and report any hazards or structural issues immediately
Skills & Requirements
- Proven previous experience as a scaffolder (essential)
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Experience in carpentry, roofing, or general construction work
- Knowledge of masonry, welding, electrical systems, plumbing, or painting is a plus
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, levels, and chisels
- Proficient with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and lifts
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Strong understanding of fabrication techniques related to scaffolding components
- Excellent physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly and work at heights safely
