Carvers Building Supplies are looking for a hardworking and reliable Timber Yard Operative / Forklift Driver to join their busy timber yard in Neachells Lane, Wednesfield.
Main Duties
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Picking and preparing customer orders accurately.
- Loading company and customer vehicles.
- Loading and unloading articulated and rigid lorries.
- Stock handling and storage of timber and building materials.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised yard.
- Assisting customers collecting goods from the branch.
- Carrying out daily forklift checks and operating equipment safely.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence preferred.
- Previous experience within a timber merchant, builders merchant or warehouse environment desirable.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative.
- Reliable, hardworking and customer focused.
