Experienced Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Carpenter
Location: Shoeburyness to Leigh-on-Sea, Essex
Hours: Part-Time with the opportunity for Full-Time work
Salary: £20 per hour
About Us
We are an established property company managing approximately 100 residential flats across the Southend area. Due to continued growth and ongoing maintenance requirements, we are looking for an experienced and reliable Carpenter / Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join our team.
The role offers flexible working arrangements, with part-time hours initially and the potential for full-time work depending on workload and project requirements.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be involved in a variety of maintenance, refurbishment and improvement projects, including:
- Construction and installation of stud walls and timber frameworks
- Kitchen fitting and installation
- Bathroom suite installation
- Repair and restoration of timber windows and doors
- Hanging and adjusting internal and external doors
- Installation of skirting boards, architraves and coving
- General carpentry and joinery works
- Property maintenance across our residential portfolio
- Small refurbishment and renovation projects
- Working independently and as part of a team to complete projects to a high standard
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Proven carpentry and joinery experience
- Experience fitting kitchens and bathrooms
- Good knowledge of property maintenance and refurbishment works
- Ability to repair and maintain traditional timber windows and doors
- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
- A full UK driving licence
- Their own van and tools
- A professional, reliable and flexible approach to work
- Multi-trade skills such as basic plumbing, electrics, tiling, decorating or plastering
Desirable
- Experience working within occupied residential properties
- Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively
