We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our independent workshop team in Wimbledon. Moving away from rigid main dealer targets, we offer a £36,000–£40,000 basic salary, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (09:00–18:00, strictly no weekends), and an environment focused on technical quality over volume.

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Wimbledon workshop, you will:
- Execute heavy mechanical repairs, including clutches, timing belts (cambelts), and eco-boost wet belt replacements.

Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults across a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.

Carry out routine vehicle servicing, scheduled preventative maintenance, and comprehensive system repairs to high standards.

Maintain precise digital job records and collaborate closely with the service management team and senior technicians.
- Qualifications & Experience: NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or City & Guilds / time-served equivalent) with a proven track record handling clutches, timing belts, and wet belt systems. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).

Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential. An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.

Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
