Print Finisher/Bench Hand – Mount Street Printers, Acton Production Site

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate finishing machinery including guillotines, binding machines, laminators, foil blockers, and embossing equipment.
- Trim, fold, bind, laminate, and finish printed products to specification.
- Follow job tickets and production instructions accurately.
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Identify and resolve finishing issues during production.
- Ensure all work meets Mount Street Printers’ quality standards.
- Review job specifications before commencing work.
- Carry out daily cleaning and basic equipment maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
- Report faults, delays, or quality concerns to the Production Lead.
- Communicate progress clearly with the Production Lead.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year working in a print or digital environment
- Must be presentable and fluent in spoken and written English
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating print finishing equipment such as guillotines, folding machines, and binding systems
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality work precisely, ensuring all finished products meet specified standards. Takes pride in precision,
- craftsmanship, and quality
- Time Management: Experience working under tight deadlines while maintaining excellent quality standards
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and productive work environment
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing workloads and work overtime when required to meet production demands
- Problem-Solving: Capability to identify issues in the finishing process and implement effective solutions promptly
Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday Schedule: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
- Pay: From £26.000/annum depending on experience
