Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, and delivery vans, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies
- Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
- Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules or delays
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance activities
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for oneself and others
Skills
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record not more than 6 points
- Proven experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Excellent organisational skills for route planning and time management
