Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant/Housekeeper to support our culinary and housekeeping operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for maintaining cleanliness and assisting with meal preparation. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards.
- Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks, food safety practices, and ingredient handling.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages or expired items.
- Contribute to maintaining a tidy and hygienic environment in guest rooms and communal areas.
- Support serving staff during meal times by setting tables, delivering food, and assisting guests as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices within a kitchen setting.
- Experience with meal preparation, food handling, and basic culinary techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail when cleaning, organizing supplies, or assisting with food presentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Prior experience in hospitality or housekeeping roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
