JOB PURPOSE
The Supply Chain Administrator is responsible for supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the company’s supply chain activities, ensuring the timely procurement, availability and accurate recording of stock and products. The role acts as a key point of contact for suppliers, coordinating purchase orders, product queries, lead times, dispatch dates and product issues, while analysing sales and reorder levels to support effective stock planning. The position also supports the goods-in process, maintains accurate inventory data and internal systems, and works closely with Sales, Warehouse and Finance teams to resolve stock discrepancies and process customer returns and credits. The role is essential in maintaining accurate supply chain records, following established processes and ensuring goods and information flow efficiently throughout the business.
DUTIES
· To significantly contribute individually and as part of the Tsurumi Pumps UK team to
achieve the above job purpose.
· Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers, managing queries relating to purchase orders, product availability, lead times, dispatch dates and product defects.
· Raise and manage purchase orders for stock and non-stock goods and services, ensuring orders are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
· Monitor outstanding purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to obtain order confirmations, delivery updates and revised lead times.
· Analyse sales history, stock levels and reorder requirements to support effective purchasing and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
· Coordinate the goods-in process, ensuring deliveries are accurately checked, received and allocated to the correct inventory location.
· Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages, damaged goods and other inventory-related issues in conjunction with relevant departments.
· Maintain accurate inventory data, including creating new items and updating existing product and stock information within internal systems.
· Coordinate customer returns and credits, liaising with Sales, Warehouse and Finance to ensure they are processed efficiently and accurately.
· Ensure all Supply Chain transactions and information are accurately recorded and maintained in accordance with company processes and procedures.
· Work closely with Sales, Warehouse, Finance and other departments to support the efficient flow of goods, maintain accurate stock information and resolve supply chain issues.
· Maintain a clean and tidy working environment at all times.
· Be aware and have an understanding of all Health & Safety requirements both in the office and warehouse environments.
· Any other reasonable duties as requested by your Line Manager.
Hours: 8am to 5.30pm (with a 10am start on a fixed day)
Location: Maidstone Office
Salary: 29k (plus performance-based bonus)
Pay: From £29,000.00 per year
