Purpose of the role:
As the weighbridge operative you will be responsible for ensuring all weighbridge activities are conducted in line with site processes to safeguard customer requirements. It is a critical part of the role to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within the given timeframe to ensure our customer requirements are met in full.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure loads are loaded, tipped and through the weighbridge process at the planned times.
· Ensure compliant dispatch of all materials (waste and food grade).
· Ensure a detailed documented shift handover is always conducted.
· Answer phone calls in a polite and professional manner, direct calls to relevant person.
· Monitor gatehouse alarms, inform relevant shift engineer immediately if an alarm goes off.
· In the event of the fire alarm sounding, print roll call and take relevant documents to the assembly point.
· Goods receipting of waste dispatches.
· Assisting with cover of the weighbridge administrator during breaks, holidays and sickness.
· Preparing paperwork for night shift/next day.
· Sampling of tankers leaving site and storing in line with requirements.
· Monitoring tanker uses and escalating to hauliers when reaching thresholds.
· Recording of late arrival of hauliers to assist with accuracy of OTIF.
· Escalation of light load weights via daily report.
· Any other adhoc duties.
Key Attributes required to succeed in the role:
· Fully versed in MS office application and management systems. SAP Business One desired.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to work under pressure juggling numerous tasks at times.
· Flexible approach.
· Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy is priority.
· Driver of continuous improvement- always challenging current practices.
· SAP experience desired
