Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mastic Man/Woman to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality mastic and sealants to various surfaces, ensuring the durability and integrity of building structures. Your expertise will help create weatherproof, airtight, and aesthetically pleasing finishes on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and ensuring proper adhesion for mastic application.
- Apply mastic and sealants accurately along joints, seams, and cracks on roofing, masonry, plumbing, and other structural elements.
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and install materials as needed for optimal sealing performance.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret schematics and technical drawings related to construction projects.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure proper application, adherence to safety standards, and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with a focus on roofing, masonry, or sealing work.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding used in construction environments.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
