Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health and Safety Representative to oversee and promote safety standards within our organisation. Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and review safety policies and procedures tailored to organisational needs.
- Carry out investigations into accidents or near-misses, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, inspections, and audits, ensuring accurate documentation for management review.
- Act as a point of contact for health and safety for management.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and organise drills to ensure preparedness across the organisation.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry best practices to maintain organisational compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in health and safety roles or related fields is desirable.
- Certification in qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are advantageous.
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise documentation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills to engage with staff at all levels.
