About Cochani London
Cochani London is a contemporary fashion brand focused on delivering distinctive products, exceptional customer experiences, and a strong retail presence. As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Area Sales Manager to oversee and develop sales performance across an assigned portfolio of stores.
The Role
As Area Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall commercial performance, customer experience, and operational standards of Cochani London stores within your area.
You will work closely with Store Managers and their teams to drive sales, improve performance, develop talent, and ensure that every store consistently represents the Cochani London brand to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will be a confident retail leader who is passionate about fashion, understands commercial performance, and has the ability to motivate teams to deliver exceptional results.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Commercial Performance
- Take ownership of sales performance across the assigned area.
- Consistently achieve and exceed area sales and revenue targets.
- Analyse store performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Create and implement action plans for stores that are below target.
- Monitor key retail KPIs including sales, conversion, average transaction value, units per transaction, and footfall.
- Drive like-for-like sales growth and maximise commercial opportunities.
- Ensure teams are fully focused on achieving daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends and provide relevant feedback to senior management.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and motivate Store Managers and retail teams across the area.
- Set clear performance expectations and ensure accountability.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and store visits.
- Identify training and development requirements.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of retail talent.
- Develop high-performing teams and identify future management talent.
- Build a positive, energetic, and target-driven retail culture.
Customer Experience
- Ensure every Cochani London store delivers an exceptional customer experience.
- Maintain consistently high standards of customer service.
- Coach teams on product knowledge, styling, selling techniques, and customer engagement.
- Ensure customers receive a professional and personalised shopping experience.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements where necessary.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding service.
Brand & Visual Standards
- Ensure all stores consistently reflect the Cochani London brand identity.
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.
- Ensure new collections, campaigns, promotions, and launches are implemented effectively.
- Work closely with Visual Merchandising and Marketing teams to maximise the impact of campaigns.
- Ensure product displays are commercially focused and aligned with brand guidelines.
Operations
- Conduct regular visits to all stores within the area.
- Ensure stores operate efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, stock loss, availability, and inventory accuracy.
- Ensure effective stock management and replenishment.
- Work closely with Head Office teams including Operations, HR, Marketing, and Merchandising.
- Ensure all stores comply with health & safety and company requirements.
Reporting & Analysis
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Use data and insight to identify trends and commercial opportunities.
- Prepare regular area performance reports for senior management.
- Track store and individual performance against agreed targets.
- Translate commercial data into clear and measurable action plans.

Experience & SkillsEssential
- Proven experience as an Area Manager, Regional Manager, Multi-Site Manager, or Senior Retail Manager.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience managing multiple retail locations.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop Store Managers.
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs and commercial performance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Confident analysing sales data and turning insight into action.
- Willingness to travel regularly between stores.
Desirable
- Experience within fashion, premium retail, luxury, beauty, or lifestyle.
- Experience working for a growing or entrepreneurial brand.
- Strong understanding of fashion retail and customer trends.
- Experience managing high-performing sales teams.

Pay: £32,397.41-£63,318.48 per year
